Christmas Hat Project Creation #24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34
Wow, lots to show this time.  It's coming down to the wire and I still have 16 more to go to reach my goal!  T___T  Well, let's take a look at this bunch!

 This first one has Green and Blue Gloomy in hats done using Loops & Threads Country Loom in Driftwood (100% acrylic).  The difference between the two is that Green Gloomy's is for a child and Blue Gloomy's is for an adult.  Next, Black and Pink Gloomy are wearing hats done in Sensations Rainbow Classic in Blue/Taupe Multi-Rainbow (100% acrylic).  It's difficult to see in the picture, but Black Gloomy's is textured with lines of front-post double crochet.  You can see the detail better in some of the hats below.

Next, Blue and Green Gloomy are wearing hats made out of  Loops & Thread Impeccable Holland Ombre (100% acrylic), but Green Gloomy's has the front post detail as well.  Similarly, Black and Pink Gloomy's hats are made from the same yarn, but Black Gloomy's has the ridges.  Their hats are made from Loops & Thread Impeccable Sage Butter Ombre (100% acrylic).


Finally, the last set of hats are here.  Blue Gloomy's hat is made from Bernat Soft Boucle in Earth Shades (97% acrylic, 3% polyester).  It's just a basic freestyle.  Black Gloomy and Pink Gloomy are wearing freestyle hats with the front post detail.  Black Gloomy's is made from Loops and Threads Impeccable in Neopolitan Ombre (100% acrylic) while Pink Gloomy's is made from Loops & Thread Impeccable Sage Butter Ombre (100% acrylic).

For anyone who may be wondering, my basic freestyle is to chain four, make a loop, do 10 dc in the loop, and then increase 10 each round until 40, 50, or 60, depending on the yarn.  Then I just dc around until it's the desired length.  Sometimes I'll make 45, 55, 65, but usually in increments of 10.  On some of the bulkier yarn, I will end up decreasing the rounds toward the brim to make a snugger fit.  To make the front post detail, I will start it on the 2nd round.  Instead of simply 2 dc in each dc, I will do 1 dc 1 fpdc in each dc around and then make sure that each subsequent fpdc has a fpdc done in it.
